| Why not start 2012 with one of my favorite weddings of last year? This is Michael and Ashley’s wedding – I’ve been meaning to post this for a while and now it’s finally here! The wedding was last August so I haven’t seen these pictures for a long long time… and now that I had to browse through them to pick some to post here, I love them even more. Some of those pictures are even printed and framed in my home office. :) I hope they liked them as much as I did!

| I remember being all happy about creating my brand new website and business cards. After putting everything together, most of my close friends said: “Yuki, don’t you think that your website and business card are a bit too creepy for people getting married?” . Friends that weren’t saying that, were obviously thinking the same. I know some people might see it that way, but I really love my website, it’s totally different from all photography websites I’ve seen. It’s just the way I wanted it to be.
I heard everybody’s opinion and decided to make some changes to my page, but not too much – added some kind of rainbow to that “creepy” tree all my friends seemed to dislike, and when I thought about even changing my logo (after getting thousands of business cards printed), I decided that if people won’t book me because of that, then it wasn’t really meant to be.
There’s a coffee shop on Eglinton and Yonge that I used to go often since it was close to my old apartment. Probably half of my meetings were over there and I still meet lots of clients on that same place – I was just there today! Their hot chocolate is pretty good and it’s one of those places you can leave your business cards. And although most (probably all!) of my friends pretty much hated my card, at least someone visiting that coffee shop thought it looked good (or at least interesting!). And today, I’m posting her wedding photos here.
You might remember Kit from an e-session I posted a while ago. Definitely one of my favorites e-sessions ever! We got lost trying to get to an amusement park, but in the end, everything worked out and it was totally worth it going there twice. Not to mention they were pretty fun to hang out with.
Kit and Albert had an intimate wedding – the day started with a Chinese tea ceremony, then they exchanged vows in front of family and close friends at the beautiful Discovery Landing in Burlington. The day finished at the Oliver & Bonacini restaurant in Oakville. I think that was one of the last days of summer… that day was really really REALLY hot (and bright).

| The decoration at the restaurant was really cute!! Kit works with design and I can pretty much tell from her wedding decoration that she’s great at what she does. |

| So she came up with a great idea to give the centerpieces. Everybody had to pick an origami square out of a box and whoever got a star in it, was the person taking the centerpiece home. Super kawaii! This brings me back good memories when I used to make those origami squares to decorate my Barbie’s houses. |

| Dennis and Cinzia were on my blog last winter – I shot their engagement party and they got married this past June.
It was a long day, we started early in morning and I left the reception pretty late, but I must say it was a lot of fun! Everybody was having a ball at the reception, I’ve never seen so many people on the dance floor!! Cinzia was glowing – at the reception, all the little girls were admiring her and looking at her like she was a princess. One thing that I also noticed was the way Dennis looked at her – all the pictures he’s with her, he looks so in love! That was the cutest thing.
Enough talking, let’s get to the pictures. I started the day at Dennis’. I must say that the boys were truly inspired. I didn’t have to say anything, they were modeling for me like professionals!!

update: Jen, thanks for the cactus! I’ll try my best to take good care of it and keep it alive :)
You might recognize this couple from an e-session I posted this past January. Jen and Calvin just got married!!
The day flew by so fast!!! So much happened! If I’m not wrong, she changed not one, not two, not three, but FOUR times!
We had getting ready pictures, portraits, ceremony, more portraits, reception, traditional Chinese tea ceremony, traditional Korean ceremony… I never worked so much! LOL Usually I’m pretty much done when the reception starts, but on her wedding, the day was just starting – so prepare yourselves for lots of pictures in this post!!

| I’m sorry, but I had to post all these getting ready pictures because I just loved them. Now let’s head to the ceremony. The location was amazing!! And they walked down the aisle dancing to “Nobody”, from the Wonder Girls – even the dad!! |

| It’s interesting how most people think that Asians are all the same, but we’re quite different! (Yeap, I’m half Japanese – check the About Me later) I’m posting some pictures of the traditional Chinese tea ceremony and the Korean ceremony so you can see that they don’t look anything like each other. Jennifer was the cutest thing with the Korean outfit. |

Today I’m showing you guys another type of photo book I offer: the classic Flush Mount album. This album has really thick pages and the nicest thing about it is that it lays flat – so it’s a good choice if you want to have lots of spreads.
Those two smaller albums you see beside it are dust jacket cover albums (they are great as parents books!). They also have the thick pages and layflat style. It comes in a variety of sizes – that pocket book is sooo cute!
Of course these photo books are not only for weddings – they are also great to display family pictures. I’m always doing these books for myself – it’s great that nowadays we don’t need to print pictures anymore, but I’m that kind of person that really likes to feel the picture in my hands.
So it’s a matter of deciding if you prefer the flush mount albums or the magazine-style photo books. They both have their pros and cons – but I’m pretty sure you’ll be happy with whichever you choose! |

Soami and Patrizia’s wedding photo book just arrived and it looks so amazing I want to keep it to myself! :)
They went for the magazine-style photo book – it’s a modern take on the classic wedding photo album. I call it magazine-style because there’s definitely the feel of a magazine, but the pages are thicker. This photo book can fit lots of pages, so it’s good option if you want to tell the whole story of your big day.
Patrizia picked the navy blue leather out of almost 20 types of colors and materials (yeap, you don’t need to choose leather if you don’t like it! There’s a variety of nice materials – like silk – to choose from) – I guess that’s her favorite color since her bridal party was also wearing navy blue!
A slipcase also comes with the book to protect it over the years. I’m posting some images here so you can have an idea of the products you can purchase besides the digital images. I also offer hardcover photo books and the classic flush mount album, but I’ll leave those for another post!
