This was my second photo shoot of 2015 – even though I have lots of photoshoots from last year I have yet to post, I needed to publish this right away because of the response I got from these few photos I posted on my FB page.

I finished editing their images really late at night sometime last January and e-mail Adrienne saying her photos are ready. I decide to post a few on my FB page before going to bed. 7am the next day, my daughter wakes up, I give her breakfast and decide to check my computer. I had so many private messages from my friends saying they loved the photos I just posted and how good-looking the couple were (honestly, that never happens – my friends are really used to me spamming them with my work, so I was surprised lol). Then, I check the photo on FB and it already has over 20 likes – and it’s 7am in the morning!

So yeah, I HAD to post this right away. These are some of my favorites from the day! :)

How I love working close to home! Not only because I don’t have to be stuck in traffic, but also because I just love Whitby. This place is so beautiful I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of having shoots here.

This is Laura’s and Ray’s engagement session. Besides the fact these two are super photogenic, they have an amazing chemistry that definitely shows in pictures. So it’s pretty obvious that I just can’t wait for their wedding day next Summer!

On top of having lots of September+October wedding photos to edit, these past few days have been super busy with all these families having Fall shoots (can’t blame them, Fall looks good), so I’ll go back to editing now. I just had to stop for a bit to share this gorgeous e-shoot. :)

So I just asked on my business page if anybody was going to the Arctic Monkeys next month. That has been already deleted… obviously I thought I was on my personal profile. So no, I wasn’t inviting any clients to go to the gig with me. :)

I shot this engagement session a couple of months ago – Frances and Kieran were so much fun! Loved them, really cute couple and definitely made to each other!

I won’t get tired of saying this… I just love shooting 5 minutes away from home! Please enjoy some of my favorites from this shoot.

From our first meeting, I just remembered Ashley was really pretty and Chris was “okay” – so I was surprised when I saw them both again. I’m so lucky to get all these good-looking couples this year! :)

I also have something to confess: right before the E-Session, I take a look at the wedding agreement to get the groom’s-to-be name. Most of the time I don’t remember just because they usually never talk during our meeting – I can say 80% of grooms just say “Whatever she’s happy with”. And although I knew Ashley’s fiancĂ© was called Chris because she mentioned his name several times on our e-mails exchange, I had to pause several times when talking to them because everytime I looked at him I wanted to call him Ryan [Gosling]. Ashley could be easily called Katy [Perry] if I didn’t know her name. :)

These two are extremely photogenic and it was really hard to edit out images. I basically just removed some images from the end of our shoot because they looked tired – that’s the disadvantage of shooting on a work day: they already start our shoot kind of tired. =/

Loved shooting this e-session! Michelle and Colin were the sweetest couple ever. Interesting that Michelle thought she wasn’t photogenic and I could really tell she was worried about it. As you can see, she couldn’t be further from the truth!

Colin was really good making Michelle smile and I must say I’m really lucky to get nice grooms-to-be most of the time. In the end, I can tell couples what to do during their e-shoot, but it’s up to the couple to make the “magic” happens. It’s funny that during my meetings EVERYBODY stops on the same picture from my wedding album sample saying how they love that particular photo (one couple’s first dance) and, the thing is, YOU gotta give me that moment. And that was exactly what Colin and Michelle did: I told them all the poses they were supposed to do, and it works so well because they look so in love. I call that chemistry. :)

Oh… and this was my first engagement shoot here in Whitby! Although I have many couples getting married that live around (thanks to Aileen and Brandon!), all of them choose to have their engagement pictures done in Toronto. It was great working 5 min away from home! :)

Really excited about their wedding this August!
